To Be A Hero

Maybe there's something to be said about all of us based on what heroes we most look up to. Some people see their mom or their soccer coach as their hero, for bravely driving a minivan and cooking pancakes or selflessly encouraging good self esteem and sportsmanship.

And some of us aim for something a bit more epic.

    My soccer coach once picked up a robo-shark and used it to hit a zombie dinosaur so hard that the whole planet they were on exploded.

    i don't actually like using the word hero- i think that it is a term that has a very specific meaning in mythology, and to attempt to hold modern persons to a mythological standard is an exercise in futility. i prefer to use terms like "role model" or "inspiration", even if they are a bit trite.
